A 21 years old National Diploma Certificate Holder, has jumped into the Lagos lagoon around 10am on Tuesday.
Report gathered by our correspondent revealed that a young man identified as Lekan Odunare was seen sitting on the rails of the bridge before jumping into the water.
In a video circulating round social media, a man was heard querying his intentions but Lekan never responded or answered any of his questions as he dived into the lagoon.
People wondered why the man filming and talking to him didn’t say him.
The man was alerted by motorists at lekki-Epe Expressway and was recording while walking towards him but couldn’t catch up with him as he already jumped in before he could reach.
The guy was far from him and nobody could hold him there, except someone who can swim.
A source disclosed to us that Olalekan was a national diploma certificate holder and works with Alaro city, a mega estate along the lekki Epe-Expressway.
“I can’t say why he jumped into the lagoon, maybe he was depressed or something. He has finished his national diploma and learning surveying. I don’t know why he would choose to jump into the lagoon.”
The deceased brother also said that he doesn’t know about any reason why his brother would commit sucide. “He used to be depressed once in a while but he should have opened up to us, if anything was bothering him instead of taking his life.”
We have not seen his body, we are searching for his body and hoping he will float to the shore because the lagoon is deep and nobody can enter it.
He also said the matter wasn’t reported to the police.
