Ifeanyi Ubah the candidate of the young progressive party who currently represents Anambra south senatorial District, said he has congratulated the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance Chukwuma Soludo as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission and has no intention to challenge the results of the poll in court.
Chukwuma Soludo the ex-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria was declared the winner by INEC after he cleared 19 out of 21 local government areas with a total of 112,229 votes beating the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate Valentine Ozigbo who polled 53,807 votes, and Andy Ubah of the All Progressive Congress who got 43,285 votes. Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressive Party got 21,261 votes. Ifeanyi Ubah and Ozoigbo won a local government Area each.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah said “this is not the outcome we worked so hard for, but the collective interest of the state must be our paramount focus”. He appreciated his supporters and said he submitted to the will of God
