ASUU HOLDS A 2 DAYS MEETING TO TAKE FINAL DECISION ON WHETHER TO EMBARK ON STRIKE OR NOT

The Academic staff union of universities ( ASUU) is holding a meeting to decide whether to embark on strike.

The meeting is taking place at the university of Lagos, Akoka. And is being Organised by the national executive committee of the university.

The two days meeting is on Saturday 12, February and Sunday 13,February 2022.

After the meeting, the union will inform the general public on their decision, whether to embark on strike or not.

Recall that in November 15, 2021. ASUU gave the federal government a 3 weeks ultimatum to meet their demands and also fulfil the agreement reached with them way back in 2009.

Some of the agreements are

1. Revitalisation money
2. Earned allowance
3. Integrated payroll and personal information system (IPPIS)
4. Payment platform and payment of withheld salaries.
