The Unified Nigerian Youth Forum ( UNYF) has said that Abuja- kaduna train attack by bandits has exposed the inability of the current administration led by President Mohammadu Buhari, to keep to its campaign promises with the level of insecurity and other challenges in the country.
The youth forum has criticised the Mondays tragic attack on the Abuja- kaduna train which led to loss of lives, injuries and kidnapping of many.
Comrade Abdulsalam Moh’d Kazeem, the president of the forum in a statement said,
“It’s no news again that the current administration has failed us, but we the citizens should not allow this to consume us and the leadership, because available information at our disposal shows the nation has recently imported super Tucanos and many helicopter fighter jets are nowhere to be found, rather some of them are diverted to be used against citizens during a peaceful and lawful protest against bad governance, to us indeed, it’s a misplaced priority and wrong placement.”
The leadership of the forum said it is not surprised by the recent happenings in this country. After over six years of governance, the government is still blaming the past government, this alone shows that nothing good can come out from Mohammadu Buhari’s and his co- travellers.
The present Administration will continue to blame others for their shortcomings.
The government should declare a state of emergency on security and seek for the release of those kidnapped without asking their relatives to pay the random.
The government should also compensate those affected, pay the medical bills of those injured and are in hospital.
