PROF GRACE ALELE-WILLIAMS NIGERIA’S FIRST FEMALE VICE CHANCELLOR DIES AT 89
|Nigeria’s first female vice chancellor, Prof Grace Alele-Williams dies at 89 at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos state.
Grace Alele- Williams was a professor of mathematics and the first woman to receive a doctorate degree in Nigeria.
In 1985, she was appointed the vice chancellor of Benin.
Her death was confirmed by Prof. Hope Eghagha. The former commissioner for Higher Education, Delta state who revealed that Alele- Williams died on Friday.
According to our correspondent, her death has not yet been confirmed by her family.
